Last post of 2009 :(

Well being that tonight is New Years Eve, this will be the last post of 2009! It was a great year, finished my degree, Dan got a new job, we bought a house, and we got married, and now I started my Photography business, it was a very BIG year for us! We are looking forward to 2010, with a lot we want to get done, and try this coming year. We pray that we will be as blessed this coming year as we were this past year, we did lose an amazing grandfather, but everyday I tell myself he is still here with us in spirit! We miss you though grandpa!
Not a lot is going on in our house at this time, we did get our furniture last Monday which I love, we are now debating on the love seat or getting a chair and 1/2 (I love those). I will post some photos from the holidays soon, I have still yet to get my computer moved to our house, I am praying this weekend, as I will need it to keep my website up to date. No worries though, I will get some photos up of everyone! I hope you all have a great night tonight, be safe!

Happy 2010!

Home for the Holidays :)

It's December and Dan and I have been going non-stop since we got home from the honeymoon. First we had Thanksgiving, then my birthday, and this weekend all the Christmas parties start! I love the holidays!

Things are going great with the married life, were still getting used to being around each other all the time, but we are really enjoying it all. Were cooking together most nights, I'm learning how to be the homemaker, I feel like laundry is never ending and there are only two of us. I can't imagine what it will be like when we have kids. But really, we are enjoying every second of our marriage...

The house is coming a long well. We bought new furniture, (happy Birthday to me!) It hasn't come in yet, but we sold out last furniture so we are borrowing some from my parents for the next couple weeks. We got our first Christmas tree put up and decorated :) Oh, I don't know if I mentioned before that Dan bought a new TV for himself, it's very nice and he earned it! The living room has been painted, the new bedding has been put on and the new bathroom stuff has been added as well. We still have a lot we want to do but my next room is the office. Hopefully the start of the new year, as I want to get a start on my Photography Business. Lots I have on my bucket list for 2010! Hopefully you have all started your bucket lists!

Work...err...don't we all wish we could just get paid to do whatever it is we wanted to do each day haha. Well Dan is still in training, I think he is going to be an amazing personal banker! If any of you need an account, loan, or anything to the effect give Dan a call, he can help you. He is in his last week of training and he seems to really like it so far, he has met some people that he relates to so that always helps make work more enjoyable. Work for me is same as always, were starting to slow down now that the winter has hit us hard, and I mean HARD! It will be a nice break for the next month or so.

I think that is all the updates I have for now I am going to try to add some photos of the house right now, ohh I did finally get the Honeymoon photos downloaded, however, I haven't moved my computer to the house yet so as soon as that is moved I will be sure to get some photos up!
Hope you all are staying warm this winter!

Honeymoon

November 2, 2009-

Well being that we are done with the wedding, I thought a new blog would be a great way to
keep everyone up to date on our lives a
nd the changes that we have been through and what is to come. Our family and friends a
re all over the place so this is a great way to keep up with everyone. So for staters we want to thank everyone that was able to come to our wedding, Family and friends came from a distance, California, Minnisota, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, and more. We were so thankful to be able to share the day with everyone, you made it better than we could have ever imagined. So thank you all again!

So I know a lot of you want to know how the honeymoon went, so here we
go we will try to explain the best we can. Saturday night, we got in to LA thinking
it would be easy to find a hotel being the size of the city, well we struck out 3 times before heading back to the airport to get another taxi to a hotel at 1:00AM. That was okay we were on an adveture right?! Sunday we woke up thinking we would just get a cab to the port, well in the elevator their was a nice girl about our age that was going to a wedding so we talked a little about it, but we never asked where it was, well to our suprise when we got to the lobby they were headed to the same port to get on the boat, they had a van rented already so they had room for more, so they let us hop in. So that worked out gr
eat! We got to the port, got all checked in, waited to be called on the ship, then we got to our room, went to lu
nch and just checked out the boat for the night before heading to bed. Monday we were at sea all day, so we had some lunch went to the pool, played some mini golf, and it was formal night so we got all dressed up (which I love to dress up) we were grouped with another couple that was just married on Saturday night, so that was cool. But at dinner we decided we like to dress up to go no where aka McDonalds haha, we weren't a big fan of the food in the main dining room, it was very formal and the food you would see on TV but it just wasn't for our taste buds I guess. Then after dinner we went outside for the nice nigh
t and walked around. Then hit the bed pretty early as we had to be off the ship in Cabo on Tuesday! So Tuesday arrived, and we had a excursion planned for the day. We were doing a canopy tour which is zip lining, rock climbing, and repelling in the mountains of cabo! I was so excited like could just not wait, Dan, on the other hand, wasn't liking the thought at all, well we had about a half hour drive out of the city, and then a 10 min mountain drive in an off-road vehical which was great too. So there was no turning ba
ck now we were all the way up there, but it ended up being a great time, Dan thought it was the best part of the trip, so it was great to see him trying something new and he really liked it even though he doesn't care for heights. The last zip line was a quarter mile long, and was steep enough that we w
ere going 40 MPH to the finish base! It was a blast! By the time we got back to the city, it was time to get back on the boat, but not before I begged for some True Tacos, well we got them but Dan was mad because we almost missed the boat, and we didn't get to sit and eat them we had to walk and eat them h
aha, but it was worth it in my opinion. We got back to the ship got ready for dinne
r, and headed out, but we were so tired
from the 2 hour events of the day we went to bed pretty early again. Wednesday we were in Matzalan, we didn't have anything planned for the day, well that is until we got of the ship, we decided to take a trolley tour of the city/town/and country. It was great to see the churches, cliff divers, and the natural beauty of the city/country. It was a hot day, but it was great, we tried some food and maragritas of course, then walked around the shops, before heading back to the ship around 2 ish. It was so hot, but I miss it already. We also met another couple that we had a lot in common with, that we decided to meet up with them for dinner, they were on the Cabo Zip lines with us as well as the Trolley tour.

They were from Cali, they had been married about a year, he was a manager for an apartment complex and she is a 5 & 6th grade teacher. It was great to meet people on the ship, that was our second night in the Main Dining room, and we didn't like the meal all to much then either, however the dessert was amazing, three chocolate desserts I couldn't complain, however, Dan started to feel sick at dinner and had to leave early, which I was sad and didn't understand how bad he was feeling until Saturday, which I will get to later. However, when I got back to the room he was feeling better so we went to get some ice cream, and they had a newley wed game show that night so went to watch. It was so funny I can't even explain, the couples couldn't have been better, they were so funny they could never script how funny it was. It was
a great night non-the less.

Thursday we were in Puerta Vallarta, the last port for the trip, and we did a Tequila factory tour, but we did a city tour first, so we hit some shops, and a little show which we took a video of I will have to upload it. On the Tequila tour we got a look at how they made it, then we got to taste test, Dan and I took the first taste test but it was sooo bad we didn't do the next two, but the third one was Peach flavored, which was soo good, in fact Dan bought some to bring home, then we tried the almond, which was good, and finally coffee flavored, they were good, mostly because you couldn't tell it was Tequila! Either way we bought the Peach flavor and they said its great to marinate chicken, put on ice cream, and also to put on pancakes, so we might just have to try it ;). We went to the casion on Thursday which we didn't do so hot but it was still fun, and I hate to go to the casino but I know Dan likes to so I am going to have to learn to go and learn to enjoy it with him. Friday and Saturday we were on the boat all day again heading back to Cali, it was soo windy that we tried to lay out and only lasted about an hour and a half before I was more wind burnt than sun burnt so we decided to head in, both days it was crazy windy you could even feel the boat rocking, so we played some bingo, we did play mini golf again, I lost, for dinner we did a dinner at the 50's diner, which was fun, and was good to taste some good ole American burgars, Dan probably enjoyed it since I was living off Sushi for dinner. Satuday we rented some movies and hung out, as I was now not feeling the best. Sunday we woke up and I was up a lot in the night just not feeling right, but didn't really get hit until around 6:00 in the morning with whatever it is I have. We got off the boat and we were hoping to meet up with one of his college friends that lives out in Cali for breakfast then meet up with my cousins in the afternoon/evening and we couldn't do either because I was so sick, we got to our hotel around 11, we got some lunch and I took a nap and felt so much better, but mind you we had McDonalds for lunch and I mean I had a full size meal on an already not so great stomach (not smart) was good untl about 3 or so and then it was bad bad bad from there, Dan actually took me to the Emergency Clinic around 7 and it took us about 2 hours to get in, which I thought was pretty quick for LA Dan on the other hand just couldn't understand. They gave me some meds, and sent me on our way, was feeling better but was soo hungry and all I could eat was soup, so Dan ordered us some room service, he did a great job taking care of me all day Sunday, we went to bed and I was feeling better knowing that the doctor just thought I ate something I shouldn't have in Mexico, but then Monday came and I got up with terrible headache, and was so week I could only stand for a few mins. before I needed to take a break, I just didn't feel right but it wasn't the same as Saturday/Sunday, finally right before heading to breakfast I got sick, I felt much better then, but Dan was so worried he didn't want me to fly he wanted to stay another day and all I could say was I just wanted to get home! :) I did fine the rest of the day he bought me a book for the flight home which I can't put down now, and it's almost done :) However the short flight we were suppose to take home ended up having to make an emergency medical stop for a little boy in Vegas, which took about 1/2 hour, then they found another problem with the plane while doing their inspection so that was another 1/2 hour, so instead of getting home at 7:45 we got in about 9:15 or so. Needless to say we were super tired, Dan was probably more exhuasted than I was because he was worring about me the last two days and taking care of me, then he started his training today for his new job. I am just so proud of him! God is doing great things in our lives, I am so excited to start on our house with painting and decorating, and actually getting moved in.

I don't know yet how often I will update but I will be sure to put up some photos or at least a link to all the photos from the trip so you can all see. We look forward to hearing from everyone and hope you all enjoy the updates!
