Snow Much Fun!

This Mom isn't so much of an outdoorsy girl.  In fact if I'm not getting a long walk or nice run in I pretty much would rather be inside.  I have never really been much of an outdoor girl...okay, so I have always preferred shopping malls or the like ;)

Today I decided what a great day to take Kypton outside.  It was snowing like mad and I wanted some pictures of him in the snow.  We went out, I got cold in about 10 minutes and decided it was time to come in.  Mind you I didn't buy snow boots or pants for him because, "this mom is not taking him outside when it's freezing," so he wore his chucks and sweatpants.  Lucky for me he didn't walk around too much just played in one area.  After shoveling off our front area it was slick and he thought it was fun to lay on his stomach and push himself around. It was funny to watch as I thought, where the heck did he learn or even come up with that idea?! Then of course he was all wet so I said it was time to come inside...now insert about 5 minutes of crying because he didn't want to go inside then I made him change clothes...needless to say it was a fun adventure!

Here are a few shots of him in the snow...not really sure what to think of it but apparently he loved it because he was mad we had to go inside....

 Stay safe everyone!

It's a Health Thing =)

Getting into shape or losing weight seems to be the biggest thing when it comes to New Year Resolutions.  I know some of you are going to read that and then hit the red dot to close out of this page.  That may be because A. You know I am right (and this is going to be what you are thinking but you don't want people to know you are thinking or B. That wasn't on my list this year so again red dot to close out the page and discontinue reading.

So, for those of you who do continue to read Thank you, from me and from your soon to be better health (notice I didn't say body!)  I want all of us to take a second and really think about what we are putting into our bodies.  I for one can tell you I have a slight addiction to Diet Mt. Dew.  It was so bad at one point I had to limit myself to 1 can sometimes even 1-32oz a day :/ Yes, I know all the chemicals are bad for you...but it tastes soooo good! Other things like fast food--okay, I admit I go thru times where all I want is the greasy burger, but I am also one that loves a good workout while listening to some good tunes on my iPod!

I have in the past year after having Kypton really wanted to get into hitting weights hard and leaning out.  I would take protein (cheap) not really looking at what was in it or if it would be affecting what it did to my health other than help with muscle building.  After doing some research and talking with some friends and family I looked more into Advocare!  Okay, if you haven't hit the red dot yet (or X depending on your computer) you might now, I beg you to keep reading.  This is for everyone!

Advocare has products for everyone and I mean EVERYONE!!  These products are for your overall health and wellness.  They are healthy and everything is made by a panel of Doctors and we have a lot of professional athletes that take a variety of products and endorsers (unpaid) I might add!

Advocare has products for those that have had issues using other systems like Weight Watchers or other diet plans.  They call it the 24 day challenge where the first half you do a cleanse to get all the toxins out and the second to focus on getting lean.

They have products for those who want more energy..HELLO..who doesn't want that?  I for one do being a Mom I have to be able to keep up with a little man who goes non stop, not to mention when we have more kids!  I have heard amazing things on those who have taken some of the products while they were pregnant.  One said, "I didn't get the pregnancy mask like I did with my first baby."  That is amazing for those of you (which is a lot) who have been pregnant you know that mask and it can make for a long 9 months.  What if you didn't have to feel that?  What if you felt rested every morning and productive all day everyday!  I would pay anything for that feeling!

We have products for the workout maniacs (I wish I was in this category, someday maybe :) ) They have products to keep you going before, during and after a workout.  They even have it written out for those who use products but aren't getting the full benefit because either A. You haven't been taught correctly, or B. You never took the time to actually learn how to use the products you just thought it would help your training. I for one used protein probably not like I should. Advocare does a great job of letting you know when you should be taking a certain product. I LOVE this!

There is so much benefit for these products and they are SIMPLE to use!  I have family members that swear by Spark!  Please, Please, Please let this be the year you lose those pounds or are more productive because YOU GOT HEALTHY!  Let me help, I am more than happy to sit and talk about what your goals are and to get you some stuff to try!

Hopefully you are all sticking to it this year, but we all know life gets busy and we put health on the back burner 2013 can be your year to show off the new HEALTHY you!!

~100th Post~

Being that this is my 100th post I wanted to write about something coming up that I haven't taken the time to write about.  It should be a post that has heart behind it and something that is truly memorable!

I have decided to write about my little brother.  Yep, my little brother aka Uncle GG as Kypton says.  He isn't so little any more, in fact last year he bought his first home.  Not just any home, a town home that was only a few years old but the owners went into foreclosure and stripped the entire place, I mean the only thing left were the walls.  That was a big project for him and he loved it (maybe not every second of it but for the most part!) I wish I had some photos of it, because it looks AMAZING! Then to end the year he proposed to his long time girlfriend :)

We are very excited about the wedding they have been together since high school so it has been a long time coming (8 years to be exact!).  Finally, this April 20th we get to celebrate them becoming one.

We are excited for the plans that God has for them, and for them to grow together in their faith.

We want to wish them the best of luck as we know that marriage is amazing.  It's not always easy but it is always worth it! Never go to bed mad..as hard as that can be sometimes.  Dream together and always remember you are on the same team :)

We pray for them daily and are so excited to be a part of their day...we can't wait!

PS I promise to have plenty of photos from all the festivities from the shower to rehearsal to the actual wedding day!

It's our Journey...

Oh where, oh where to start....

It's Monday...how bout that...the weather is chilly there is a big snow storm heading our way..and well I'm pretty excited! We are having a great start to the week to be honest.  It's 11:30 at night I am energized and ready to get my to do list done for the day.

I didn't set New Years resolution(s) this year as I mention before but I have been setting weekly goals.  So far staying on top of laundry and picking up toys and other misplaced items daily has been going smoothly.  The house looks good if someone decides to stop by instead of me freaking out at the last minute shoving things in random spots.  Nobody does that right?

Lately, each week I try to add something else to my focus, I added getting back to my devotions not on a daily basis but a few times a week to get started.  This past weekend I really got to thinking as I'm doing my devotions which happen to be about how to be the best wife the way God called me to be.  That I'm the one that does the finances in the house as I should because I have the time to sit down and look at everything and I pay the bills as well.  I know how much is going where and when.  I got to thinking that a lot of times I feel bad that I'm not helping with the actual finances.  Dan has never made me feel that way or said anything that would make me think he wants me to help, but I feel like that is a lot of stress to put on one man.  Although, I do believe that is the mans' job (no ladies I'm not all about being all kinds of equal to a man!)  On the flip side of my feelings though I would never want to go back to work.  I cherish my time with Kypton so so much.  I would never in my life give it up (unless there was absolutely no other way, of course.)  so, essentially I would like to make a little bit of money where I can do my own hours and be at home with Kypton all day.  No, going to a place of business and working night hours is not an option either, haha, not to be picky.  I guess looking at that I figure if I work at night I will be worthless with Kypton all day, and then what is the point of me being home with him, right?

To get to my point...my answer is working from home while improving my overall health and enjoying my family.  Everything on my time.  Dan and many other people we know drink a lot of Spark.  If you don't know what Spark is (like me until the last week) PLEASE contact us!  We are jumping in to the Advocare Business.  Many people I know not only use but sell the products and we are just as excited about them.  We haven't decided what all exactly we want to use besides the Spark energy drink but we have some ideas.  We are excited for this journey together.  That was the main thing when I brought this up to Dan was that I wanted his full support if not him doing it with me.  We are going to do this together, get back in to working out...this time as a team, and show the world what our dreams are made of.

We thought about who our target would be and if we knew anyone that may be interested and if you think about it, we all know someone who either just had a baby and are trying to lose the extra pounds, or someone who has struggled with weight for a while and need something to keep them on track, or even the workout king/queens. Let's face it we all could use a little help in the area of being healthy.  Advocare is for everyone, someone trying to lose weight, someone who just wants more energy, someone who wants to feel healthier overall, or those who love to workout, there is something for everyone!

Stay tuned for this new journey and all of our updates!

First of 2013

We (as always) have been busy! We ended 2012 at a low point but are fighting back and hopefully going to make 2013 amazing! We are setting goals and we're hitting them hard...starting next month.

I couldn't get in the mood to set goals at the start of the new year. Why, you ask...I know it's a new year to start fresh, I was coming off a miscarriage.  We were 10 weeks and we lost what was supposed to be baby B #2 in July, to make it worse it was 2 days before Christmas and we were going to make the big announcement as we had just gone to the doctor and everything looked good.

It has taken me this long to be able to write about it. Close friends know but only some details. Some people say well you have Kypton! You're all right, no doubt, but that still doesn't change the loss of a baby.  You flash forward to their name, their room decor, how Kypton will be a great big brother...and in a day it's all gone! It sucks, but it put in perspective this Christmas what really mattered. My family and their happiness. I just think that Dan's Mom now has two of our babies rocking with her, someday we will get to meet them :)

I'm not sure that hole will ever be filled, but we have hope, and faith that it was all Gods plan and we continue to move forward as a family. We are enjoying Kypton's milestones. Still getting the 1st time parent thing under our belt as everyday Kypton teaches us something new. He is talking so much more, learning to really play with friends (now that he's big enough for play dates!) he is so sweet, blowing kisses, giving hugs, getting the hang of FaceTime with grandma and papa. We did have our first visit to the ER on Monday.  Put him to bed about 8 and 10:30 he woke up with a fever and wheezing.  I was just praying over and over that if he needed to go to the hospital for God to give me a sign...well Dan got up to get him some medicine, came back and BOOM our bed broke (now 1:30) I said, "well, we have nowhere to sleep we should just take him." Off we went to get a breathing treatment and a steroid. We have been super lucky that this is the only time other than a small cold at 4 months that he as been sick. Praise God! He is feeling much better and is back to being the amazing little man he is!

As far as our last blog, we are back in our house, the floors are done and the new decor (most of it) is in place.  Here, are some photos for the start of 2013...enjoy!
