6 Months

Well, I have been slacking a little on posting this month.  It has gone way too fast.  When we decided I would stay home with Kypton I thought time would slow down as we had no where we had to be and we were on our own time frame.  Not the case, if anything it goes by a lot faster.

We have yet to take our "professional" family photos...though this weekend its on the list.  For now though I did actually take some 6 month pictures of Kypton the day he turned 6 months (knowing we were going to get family photos this month.)  Here are some for you to look at.  I took about 60+ and they are actually really funny so I just picked a few, as blogger takes a while to upload photos.

The Dr. said I can start puffs..I don't like them though....

I'm sitting up really well and starting to get into the crawling position...

 I love bath time!

What you doing mom?

 Cheeeeseeee...

 Handsome man!

This is how you do it...

 Happy boy

Great Grandma and Grandpa came for dinner

At 6 months, Kypton is weighing in at 17.9lbs, and 24 and a quarter long. He is in the 50th percentile of everything.  He got three shots, is starting to say Mama, and Baba.  He is on all fours and crawling...backwards, loves electronics, loves to copycat tapping his hands on the floor or table, loves all the food we have tried in the 1st step of baby foods minus peaches--we can't seem to get those down.  He is still a smiley boy, who is starting to be shy when he meets new people, but quickly starts to talk (scream) when he is comfortable.

On another note, we started watching our first friend this week.  She actually has really bad allergies right now so she won't be with us tomorrow, but this week has been a lot of fun.  I told some of our friends it gives me the idea of what two is going to be like, and I love it!  Needless to say things are going really well and I am excited for the next few weeks with her.  She will be staying with her mom come July as she is getting a new baby sister then in August she starts school so we are lucky to get her this month =)  Kypton seems to think he needs to keep up with her as he has bypassed his afternoon nap and his morning nap is typically about 20 minutes..he doesn't want to miss anything!

Dan is still working crazy hours, however, this past weekend he got the chance to go golfing with some college friends.  I don't know what I have been doing but I feel like I am so busy..haha.  I guess between tracking/paying bills, the typical house chores, keeping up with our almost crawling little man, and now having a three year old around I am exhausted (but in a good way!)

Hopefully you all had a great May!

Who can believe that is it June already tomorrow?

Many Generations..

What an incredible weekend we had, I don't even know how to really put it into words but I am going to try my best, plus we have some photos for you too.

Friday--Ahh it's finally the weekend..Kypton and I went to my parents around 3 o'clock to hang out with my mom after she got off and went to the store.  It was movie and dinner night!  We watched "Joyful Noise."  I highly recommend it for everyone, it has a great message.  Any who, I decided to make a Pinterest dessert which was delicious!!

Bottom layer is chocolate chip cookie, then a layer of Oreo (not crushed!) then the top layer is brownies..this was AMAzing... It will be made again!

We headed home because Saturday was going to be busy..

Saturday..started at about 6:30 (Kypton, hates to sleep in on Saturdays, I feel like he knows his Dad is home all day and wants to get started with the hanging out!) We got up, got ready, we ran to the store to get some Doughnuts for the car ride for everyone, then headed to my Great Aunt's farm sale.

Yes, we went to a farm sale and it was SO fun.  It was a hard day for my Great Aunts and my distant cousins as they were selling stuff their Dad and my great Grandpa had used and farmed with.  There were some tears shed by all but it was really a great day seeing family and looking at all the different things that had been collected over the years. My brother bought a saw that my Great Grandpa had taught him to use.  My parents bought some really old phews from an old church that they are going to refinish and my brother is going to make them a long table out of barn wood.  Here are some great photos from the day...

Chilln' on the tractor..

After we got home I have been really wanting Jethro's BBQ so we went with some of my family...my Brother, mom and I shared the Emmenecker..

I may have had an adult beverage as well, and at about 4:30 between drinking and being in the sun all day my body was hating me..I finally got back to sleep, then Dan said he was up really early because he couldn't sleep.  Well I needed to go to the store last night to get formula..butttt...I was a little to "tired" so that leads me to...

Sunday..Happy Mother's Day..first time I got to celebrate the day as a mom!  Started the morning playing with Kypton while Dan went to the store to get Formula.  Well, it was taking a while and I got to thinking...earlier in the week he asked me what I wanted for Mother's Day.  I said, "to spend the day with you and Kypton, and a large Mocha Frappe!"  Well, he did one step better.  At the store they were having a sale on Keurigs.  Get a pack of K-cups for free ($10.00) and get a $22.00 gift card.  Essentially it cost him $89.00.  I have been wanting one...well ever since I used my parents and that was a reallllly long time ago!  Well, I got one, I love it and that means no more $3.00 mochas from McDonald's! :)  We then went to the store (yeah, fun stuff!) we got our grocery shopping done for the next two weeks, then we went to look around at flowers... which I didn't think they looked that good anywhere we went so no money spent there.  Dan did accidentally break two pots and all I could think was, "great, we are going to have to spend $30 on something we can't even use!"  They were super nice about it and we didn't have to buy them!  We then went to my parents house for dinner with my mom and grandparents to finish celebrating a great day.  My sister got me some beautiful flowers that her boyfriend is going to come over and help me plant (he does landscaping.)  I'm very excited, as I don't have what they call a green thumb!

All in all it was just an awesome weekend and the type of weekends I live for.  The nice weather helps too.  I love being with my family and love when Dan takes time off work to hang with us, even though I think sometimes he would rather work than look at flowers and people watch with me..hehe.. but that's what I love about him, he is so easy going and always there for support :)

Hopefully you all had a wonderful weekend and got to celebrate those Moms in your lives!

Creating Memories =)

It has been a super busy but great weekend at the Buchholz's!

We started the weekend off with a birthday party for my "niece" Blakely Faith..the big 1 year!  We got to enjoy some wonderful spaghetti (B's favorite) and had ice cream and cupcakes, watched B eat her first cake, watched her open gifts, and stayed after all the guests had left to see her sugar high.  She was so fun!

This past year has been so fun seeing her change and hit all the different milestones and develop her own personality.  She is a beautiful little girl inside and out, her parents are amazing with her and we can't wait to watch her grow into a beautiful woman!  Happy Birthday, Blakely!

B eating a Dutch Letter :)

Saturday, we got to spend another great day with friends.  We drove down to Tulip Time.  Well, this year it was really just stems being that they bloomed early with all the beautiful weather we have been having. Either way, we got to meet up with friends that we haven't seen for a while as well as with those we see more often, Kypton got to meet some of our college friends including one of my old roommates.  We ate some Pofferjes, Dutch tacos, and of course Dan had to support the football stand and have a brat.  We walked around the square and looked at things, walked up to Central to get in some air.  We were hoping to get some stuff for Kypton at the bookstore but they were closed.  We will have to wait for homecoming..

After we got home from Tulip time, we went and spent the rest of the evening hanging out with my parents.  We had some taco pizza to celebrate Cinco de Mayo haha, then just relaxed and watched Lion King and some comedians.  It was a great way to end a busy couple of days!

Then today, it's Sunday, we started the day by sleeping in...yep even Kypton was super tired, we slept until 9:30, went to church, came home and Dan mowed the lawn, and we just put Kypton down for a nap.  Time for Dan to work, and me to catch up on some blogging for the weekend!

Here are some photos from the weekend--

Sprucing Up Our Backyard!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Flood Wood Care for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Projects for summer :)

Well, after spring cleaning and getting rid of our patio furniture that was beyond used up..aka you would fall through if you sat in the chairs.  I know, some of you are like, just recover them, yeah I looked up the price for those chairs mind you we had 6 of them, it was going to cost $100 per chair for the fabric that was needed.  Ummm...I can buy a whole new set with a table and umbrella for that price.  So, we tossed it all!  Which brought me to my new hunny-do project!  A NEW DECK...it will cost about $800 but it will also be a good selling point.  We are thinking something small just on the back of the house, nothing fancy.  We want something to relax on.  We love my parents deck that we can hang out and chat on when we go over there, we grill and chill out there.
In doing our reseach and talking with friends and family I decided I really wanted a white deck.  Wood is the cheapest way to go so I was looking for a way to use wood but have a white finish.  I found just the right product.  Flood® Wood Care They have a variety of colors to choose from which I loved because I may just have to use an accent color! (I always loved the look of victorian homes with all the colors).
Flood brand is known as "The Wood Care Specialist" for preserving all your wood envestments from decks and fences to siding.  I know if I am going to spend a lot of money on a beautiful new wood fence I want it to last, the same goes for our new deck.  I want my home to look as beautiful from the outside as it does on the inside.  Thanks to Flood Brands that is going to be possible. Flood is the best wood care products for our family no doubt about it!
Check out their site I promise you wont be disapointed in what you find!

Baby Food...

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  We didn't do too much, I had a bridal shower to attend on Saturday, then we just hung out.  Sunday, Dan mowed the lawn and then Clinton, Cheyanne, and G-man stopped over for a bit.  They boys had a good time playing together.  It's going to be so fun to watch them grow up together!

Playing with Griff--

We have officially started baby food, it's probably been about two weeks now that we have done baby food every night.  It's funny because we started with veggies just like they said.  Dan was so excited to start doing fruit though so after about a week we did bananas.  Yeah, the next night..even though he loves his green beans, he wouldn't eat them...he wanted his bananas.  He is actually a really good eater though.  Although, I didn't ever doubt he would be considering I like just about everything.  So far we have had carrots, squash, green beans, and bananas, tomorrow we are going to try some peas :)

Eating my veggies--

Have a great week everyone!!
