Roll On...

KYPTON ROLLED OVER (Twice) FOR THE FIRST TIME TODAY!!

I was getting Kypton ready for some tummy time, getting his toys together to put on his mat and just as I turned around I see him rolling over...at first I was in shock like Oh, Dear what is going on but then I came to my senses and realized he was rolling over and it was a good thing!! Of course, I call my mom right away after rolling him back to his tummy, and just as I am speaking with her and she asks if I took a picture I said no I was going to try to get a video and wah-la, he rolls again! I never knew how excited I could be to see my baby roll over for the first time. After I got off the phone I sent Dan a text to tell him and got a response of, "Good Job, Kypton!"

I'm still working on a video, I think Kypton was pretty confused with all my excitement that it wore him out because now he is rubbing his eyes as if he is tired...I will get a video and get it posted but for now here is a photo right after all the fun happened....

45 mins after writing this post I got a video of Kypton rolling over for grandma...Enjoy!

Kypton 3 Months

I have another post I'm working on but didn't want to try to put two posts together with all these photos, so here is Kypton, growing up fast!

Baby Blues...
Smiles..all day, every day...we have one happy baby!
Getting this sitting up thing down
SO BIG!!
Chill'n in Daddy's chair..
was done with photos :)
Kypton is growing like crazy, officially in his 3-6 Month clothes. He is talking like crazy, has really found his voice. He loves to scream, and is trying to giggle every day. He loves playing on his mat now that he understands how to grab and move the toys, were getting so close to rolling over too. I give him a week or so before the roll. He's really learning his Daddy and loves to smile at him even if he's in the middle of a fit because he needs to burp haha! We love every bit of him and having him around, he truly is one of the biggest blessings of our lives!

Downgrade to Simplicity

Here is what is left of a blog I had typed up then decided to delete half of it..

Ahhh, a sigh of refreshment and simplicity. The past couple weeks I've been looking for ways to simplify our lives. I can't even explain how great I feel.. I started with my phone going from an iPhone which I have had for the last 5 years to this little beauty....

The phone was the second downgrade..the first was axing the DirecTV. We called about 6 months ago and they said they would give us five months free. Well, when we found out Dan was taking a new job so we talked about getting a second receiver for the bedroom. Well, I woke up one morning and said to myself, "just because we are making more doesn't mean we need to spend more." So, we do Follow Dave Ramsey, and more strictly at times than others, well this would be a time I'm being strict. We are cutting back and doing it "Rice and Beans style"...again and more intense than before..

in other updates.....

P.I.N.K.- 8 pounds to go and I'll be down to goal weight! Come on warm weather, I NEED to run/walk!! As mentioned above we're on rice and beans some day literally some figuratively, but getting the nutrition from beans seems to be working :) However, we did have P.F. Chang's for V-day (we had a gift card)..and well tonight I have a delicious dessert made for the hubby. I have some photos I took while making it...

New Year but Not all New...

Happy 52nd Birthday, Dad!!

WoW, what a busy week we had last week that I'm just now getting to the blog! The proof is in my little man. He has been a sleep all but an hour today! So, to start, clear back on January 29th, we went to watch our friend preach at church. We were supposed to go a week earlier however due to the weather we had to wait! Either way he did a fantastic job and was such a natural up there, we were very proud of him. After church we went out for lunch with them and another couple, here are some photos of the church and the kiddos...

After church we celebrated my sisters birthday at my parents house. Then the weather was so nice last week we were out walking/running every day..well not Friday I guess it was too cold, but every other day...

On Thursday it was Dan's night out so Kypton and I hung out with Grandma. We went to the mall and I got a new shirt to wear out on Friday which I will talk about in a moment. Kypton got some new clothes as well, he hasn't worn them yet, but here is my shirt...

So as for Friday, it was Dan last day at the bank so his boss an co-workers went out to celebrate. Kypton had his first sleep over in Grandma and Grandpa's nursery! He also got a bath in the sink :) Here are some photos my parents sent while we were out...

Saturday we had a snow storm here so we didn't really want to do much we went to get Kypton at my parent's house and hung out for a while..Dan slept (little hangover) he says he's getting old haha. My brother and mom were heading to the mall so I tagged along :) We went home around Kypton's bed time and Dan and I were out soon after we put him in his bed :)

Sunday was the superbowl, and Today is my Dad's birthday so we went and hung out at the rents house and made some delicious snacks. Many were from Pinterest..(looking for photos now :) ) Today, Kypton is catching up on some sleep, Dan started his new job, I'm anxious to see how his day went, I did just get a text saying his training is not in Minnesota like we had thought so Kypton and I will not be going along...it's actually in Baltimore. Sad for us but I'm excited for Dan to go, although most of his time will be spent in meetings I hope he gets to see a little bit of the City! Well that was our week last week and a start to this week.

Some of the Super Bowl food..
Corn muffin w/ little hotdogs

Pizza roll ups
Strawberry Rubarb bars

Buffalo Chicken bites
Chocolate dessert
7 layer cups

pretzel wrapped in bacon

Now for some other updates--

P.I.N.K. Method- Down 2 more pounds this week, although I think that is because of all the extra working out with the walks and running..not because I did well with eating :( Regardless, exactly 10 pounds to go! I loose 5 more then start the 7 day shred to get the final 5 off so hopefully another couple of weeks. The doctor said I should give myself as much time as it took me to put on to get it all off so if I can get it all off by March I will be one happy Momma!!

It's been a while since I have talked about our friend Dave Ramsey and a lot of that come from finding out we were expecting and redoing the house, those were much more exciting to talk about. Well now that the house is done, Kypton is a few months old, and the holidays have come and gone were getting back to business. We have had so many changes these last three months my head spins just thinking about it all. With all those changes comes a new budget and new goals. The budget is set and were looking forward to continuing our journey to total debt freedom! We thought it would be great to start saving for Kypton's 5th birthday which will be 7 days of Disney with all the fun birthday gifts/things they provide but also keeping in mind that we will have one if not 2 other kids by that time. If we stay on track and work hard not only will we have everything including our home paid off by then but we will have more than enough in the vacation fund to do Disney like Disney should be done :) I know some of you are thinking that is over 4 years away, yep it is..Thanks to Dave Ramsey he has yet again reminded us that we live in a "I want it now society," well for my sanity and my kids' future I want them to grow up knowing their parents are financially set and that with hard work you get to live like no one else. If anyone is interested in setting up a budget Dave Ramey style here is a link! Happy saving!

Have a great week everyone!
