It looks great in the preview page but when I publish this post the photos go whack and the spacing is off..sorry about that...hope you still enjoy the photos...

This is what has been done as of right now, basically the kitchen is the only room that hasn't been touched and I'm not even sure where to really start in there...I know what I like, but I'm not sure it's worth the money at this point...Hope you enjoyed the photos!

2 Months and Many Changes...

Kypton is
two months old!

I can't believe our little boy is growing and changing so much everyday! From smiling and holding his head up to "talking" more everyday! It's so amazing to be home and see all the changes. I hope I never lose the excitement of watching everything he does. He was two months on Thursday which only means a check up and some shots at the doctor Thankfully Dan was able to go with me because I couldn't watch when they did the shots, I sat so I couldn't see and plugged my ears not because of his cry but because I don't like the "click" when they do the shots.. I know thats sad but it's true. Dan got to hold him down and be the bad guy and I got to comfort him, this role will be reversed a many times I know! After the doctor he was a super sleepy baby so I let him sleep while I got alot of work done for my Dad. He was so tired we didn't get our last feeding in for the night and he slept from 6:30pm until 5:30am. Here are some of the 2 month photos I took on Thursday before he fell back to sleep after I changed his diaper--

Chill'n in my chair..

Oh, I'm just hangn' out..

really mom? I think that's enough photos..

11.9 lbs 23" long

my hair is still very light and I still have my baby blues
I love to smile when mom and dad come to get me up in the morning, I now rub my eyes when I'm tired, and I'm really good at tummy/mat time!

Some other great happenings--we finally got word on Dan's new job that everything is a go and he starts in February!! We are both excited for this new venture. He will be working as a Jr. HMC under his brother and his brother's partner for a section of Iowa Reality that is an affiliate of Wells Fargo if I'm understanding correctly. It will be new for both of us with the understanding that he will probably work more hours. But we have a lot of goals and dreams for our family so in the end everything we do to reach those goals will be worth it! Dan and I went to celebrate last night and Kypton stayed with grandma and grandpa! We went to dinner (check out my delicious Bomb Pop martini) then had to make a pit stop for a new bed!

Sitting in my great, great, great grandma's wooden cradle..

BOmB PoP Martini

This bed will be delivered on Tuesday! I have always wanted a sleigh bed!!

To make a long story short, about two weeks after having Kypton we were getting into bed and heard a loud clunk, well I looked under the bed and didn't see anything, well I wanted to get something out of one of the bins that was under the bed yesterday afternoon and well to my surprise were basically sleeping on the plastic bins..The bar that goes through the middle of the bed broke. Ikea bed, we had a great run and you will always be remembered. It is nice to know we are getting a better quality bed now though! As soon as the room is up and ready I'll have some photos, I've also had people ask about our bathroom which has been finished since November so I will just plan on doing a before and after post of the whole house next week after the bedroom is done because we have had so many changes and well it will be nice to document them!

I also said I would keep you posted on my P.I.N.K. method! Things are going awesome, since last Thursday I have lost 6 pounds!! Only 10 to go!! The food we make is really good and you don't have to eat everything they have in the book you can add your own food, I do the workout DVDs which you should follow, plus I will add running in once it gets nice out again, but at least I'm getting some good cardio and toning in before swimsuit season! I'm praying the scale keeps going south, I did get into and was able to zip a pair of jeans I couldn't even get on last week, so there is progress!

Tomorrow we are going to watch one of our good friends preach at Church. He was in our wedding and we went to Central together. He did religious studies at Central, however, had a change of heart after graduation and pursued other careers. This past month they informed us he was going to start preaching again and we couldn't be more excited for him and his family! We are going to go show our support and have some lunch tomorrow, and we can't wait!

Hope you are all having a great weekend and aren't getting to bad of weather wherever you may be located!

Can't Help but Smile :}

Wow, I feel like it has been a long week but only because we have been so busy since Friday, a good busy that is! I couldn't wait until the end of the week to do a blog because this is one night that I don't ever want to forget! It was magical..to me anyway! Dan got home from work I had some cookies on the cooling rack for him, andwe put them in the cookie jar and started making dinner together, with the iPod on the dock in the kitchen we made an amazing dinner together, more of Dan doing the cooking because I was holding Kypton, butI was getting everything out and cleaning it up as he went and putting things away...it was great team work, but it was so fun with the music playing we sang and Kypton and I danced...it was so simple but so much fun. Dan said he wished babies knew what was really going on so they could remember what we had done, and I said, "that's why we need to take lots of photos and videos and I will blog so that we canmake a book and show him." That's as good as it will get.

Kypton, tired after the kitchen dance party!

Little man sleeping while I get my Phase 1:Day 1 workout in...

Doing P.I.N.K. was something I wanted to do in order to get in shape and be healthy, but I really think it has been more and it's only been 5 days. We cook meals together and they are healthy, we have tried so many amazing new things we never would have tried on our own. I mean for real beets and carrots in a drink, kale in a drink it's crazy. Some things turned out really well like the AMAZING dinner we had tonight that we both said we could eat every night, to the nasty soup I made the other night (Carrot and Cauliflower) however, I now know how to make baby food lol. The first drink I had was NASTY but the last two I have made I really like. Dan even jumped in on my protein the other night and made himself a shake. So, like I said we spend more time in the kitchen together, and yes it takes a lot longer to plan out meals but its fun knowing that we are healthy and that we enjoy cooking TOGETHER!

Here are some photos of dinners and drinks from P.I.N.K the last few days =)

Exotic Chicken marinating...
The final product Exotic Chicken, Brown rice, and Spinach...
Baked chicken and spinach salad with carrots, garlic, and onion...
P.I.N.K drink #2.. beets, carrots, spinach, almond milk, protein, dates, strawberries...
Baked Chicken and the NASTY soup...aka baby food =(

Needless to say things are off to a wonderful start, however, I have the support of family so that helps, my mom helps me stick to what I can eat when we go out...typically a salad with fat free dressing on the side nothing but grilled chicken and veggies on top, and Dan has been amazing at home being a great sport in trying new things and actually eating with me, and he makes my shakes every now and then..couldn't ask for better support. I'm down 3 lbs since I started 5 days ago, the program has a restart based on weight and height it can go from 3 days to 14..I only had to do 3 days, and during that time you aren't allowed to workout, so because I was working out everyday I had to take the last three days off and now today I got to start back up again, so hopefully the weight will come off a little easier. I went for my check up at the doc at 8 weeks post birth and since then I was allowed to workout and had lost 6 pounds in that one week just from working out, so hopefully thats a sign that it will be easier to drop the weight with these workouts, todays totally kicked my booty =)

Hope everyone is having a great week so far, halfway to the weekend tomorrow!

End of week..ready for Reset :)

I am getting my quick weekly post in while Kypton sleeps and before I need to get in the shower! It's been a quick week to say the least I can't believe I got my first week of staying at home in with a little bit of work for my Dad! Monday I went back to the office to get some things to bring home, I did some computer work while I was there and Kypton stayed with grandma. Needless to say I have a ton of paper work that was stacked on my desk..best part...it gets done on my time, so I do a little each day while Kypton sleeps..it works out nicely! Tuesday we went up and met Emily and B at the mall to do some mall walking and hanging out! It was great to see them and have some girl talk =) Wednesday..hmm what was Wednesday..oh yes Dan had a half day so got some house work done in the morning and went and set up Kypton's savings account when Dan got off, Thursday I wasn't feeling well went back to the doctor, which I should mention I have been to the doctor more in the last two months then I think I have in the last 5 years combined...still not a fan of them...either way, Dan stayed home with me to help me with Kypton (best hubby of the year award right there) but I will say I am feeling much better today! =) As for Friday..got a lot of work done, we went to lunch with my mom and sister, I finally went to pick up my right that I haven't been able to wear since August (not of fan of that!) and took three bags of clothes to GoodWill that I cleaned out of the closets last week. I also got the Christmas decor down,
even though I was going to do that last weekend...yeah it didn't get done, but most of the house got cleaned and a few loads of laundry done, which brings us up to today. I bought the program the P.I.N.K Method if you don't know what that is I suggest checking it out if you are interested in getting into shape...notice I didn't say being on a diet...I'm not really looking to lose weight just get back to where I was pre-baby, and get back in to shape fitness-wise... so yah, my journey started today with a protein shake this morning...well I started about about 7:45 this morning and I'm still trying to get it down...which is a must because it is my breakfast for the next 3 days...please go fast, please go fast haha! I took my measurements last night and will be doing my before shots today...which I will post once I get done with the program and do my after shots...I'm not sure I'm ready to post the before shots just yet, but I will get there I promise! Today I think I am going to hang out with my brother, he is looking at buying a home that was foreclosed but the owners stole everything, and I mean everything down to the carpet in this brand-new town home, so we are going to go look at cabinets and what not, he has an offer in on that place, however, if it doesn't pan out we are going to look at a couple other places...one being right down the street from us! It was a busy week but I got a lot accomplished here are some shots :

Dinner from Pinterest on Monday night..ham and cheese sliders
Hung out with Grandma for a few hours on Monday

Dressed up to go meet B and Em at the mall =)

Relaxing in my "Gator Gear" with Dad because Mom doesn't feel well..
Downing my first shake, started at 7:45 and it's now 9:30 and it's not even half gone :(
Started my P.I.N.K reset today..wish me luck...

Well that was our week at a glance...now off to get ready for the day before the little one wakes up, however, I imagine he will sleep most of the day because he hardly slept at all yesterday :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

It's Official!!!

I can finally say it is OFFICIAL!!! I am now a stay at home mommy to my amazing little guy!! To all of my close friends you know how badly I wanted the opportunity to stay home with my kids even before I found the guy I would marry! I feel so blessed that this would work out. I didn't give my two weeks at the school I just asked to be moved to the sublist, this way I could still get out a few times a month if I wanted. I will still help my Dad out a few hours a week but my full-time job is raising my little guy, taking care of our home, and taking care of the Hubby! So far, so good!

Staying home sure does make it a lot easier to stick to my new years resolutions as well! This past week we (as in Kypton and I) have tried recipes from Pinterest, read books, gone for very long walks in this beautiful January weather, cleaned out the closet for Goodwill, laundry, workout DVD's and now a blog to finish off the week!

I feel like the days go so fast as I am working on a sleep schedule with him so when he is awake we are playing on his mat or doing little chores or reading and when he sleeps I put him in his crib and it's go time for me on laundry, dinner, or a quick workout and shower. It's amazing how much gets done and how much better I feel about life when everything on the to-do list is complete and we can actually enjoy life as a family when Dan gets home from work. I wouldn't say all the stress is gone, but I would say I feel like I don't have as much on my shoulders now that I eliminated work, and school, like one of my boss's said...I have my BA so if I choose to go back to work it won't be an issue, and if I choose to go back to school then the time will be right...

Monday Dan was off work so we got to hangout and enjoy some family time, then it was back to regular routine on Tuesday. Here are some shots of our week..Enjoy..

Cleaned out 3 bag fills of clothes from my closet that I am taking to Goodwill
Dan asked where I was going to put all those clothes, mind you they have been in my closet, and I said Goodwill's closet =)

Playing on the mat with Tyson =)

One of our Pinterest meals this week...Two weeks of groceries for $80 not too shabby!

Father-Son bonding in their Gator gear for the bowl game..

Finally starting to enjoy bath time, we like the water a little warmer than most and to be covered with a warm towel while being washed...

Going for one of our walks this week although on Thursday it was in the 60's so we didn't have to be all bundled up, and I stayed awake for the whole walk!..(almost 4 miles)

Today we are going to take down the Christmas decor, dust, laundry, and some serious grocery shopping with coupons!! (I bet Dan will be thrilled)

Hope everyone had a wonderful week and you can relax and enjoy each other this weekend! Life is too short, stop and enjoy the day, at the end of your life I bet you won't say, "I wish I had worked more."
