Kenzlie's ONE!!

Well, it's been a full YEAR with our little girl!

We got to celebrate with friends and family this weekend.  We had a "Bakery Party." The planning as always was many hours of getting things set up and food made and the party just flew by.  I felt like we didn't get to chat much with anyone but we were so thankful for those who were able to come and make our little girl feel loved.  She slept until 9:30 on Sunday!

Sunday after she finally got up we were able to play with her new "girl" toys and watch her down food like no ones business. Both kids napped and we took a half hour to go see the progress of my brothers house and ended up getting some great photos of the kids playing in their leaves thanks to Kent Opdahl! Thankfully I actually put them in decent clothes not lounge clothes for the day :)

We ended the night with some hotdogs and pumpkin carving.  It's amazing how fast this year has gone. It's so true that its all different with the second one. Time goes faster, your lucky to catch the 1st of everything, they have their own agenda and you don't push them as much as the 1st.  The only thing that is consistent with the 1st child is how much you love them and want to give them the best life possible.

We are so thankful for the year God gave us and look forward to all his plans for our family and kids. God is good and we couldn't ask for much more!

Happy 1st Birthday Kenzlie Grace, we are so happy that the Lord chose us to be your parents and we are excited to see you grow!

Right Around the Corner...

Fall is right around the corner which means we better enjoy these last few weeks of Summer....

With Fall comes birthdays, holidays....and more holidays...

Lucky for me the kids are getting on the same page when it comes to Mom needing some work time even if its just an hour in the middle of the day while their naps overlap.  They are growing like weeds and I know that won't ever stop.  It's fun to see them playing together these days and chasing each other around the house.  With a few "big brother" moments in there if you will. We really can't complain as they are really good most of the time.

Kypton is starting to put more and more together--his imagination is great!  He knows how to push buttons and talk back.  He has the biggest heart though.  Loves to share with his sister, especially food when were not looking so we have to be careful! Toys can be a different story though.  He still likes to fall asleep in our bed but has done really well this last week not waking up and coming to our room.  He has informed us that his room is too dark and he needs a really big TV for his room...right..noted! Crazy kid!

Kenzlie--ahh 10 months already.  We have noticed she likes to do things at her own pace as not to be rushed...for ANYTHING!  She has thought clapping for her was the greatest thing but won't do it for herself...until the other day...right at 10 months she thought it would be fun to clap when I was changing her diaper...she now loves it.  Another thing she has decided she likes...SO BIG.  She just does it out of the blue.  We would work and work on it and she just pulls it out this week..along with standing on her own.  She is quiet the little fire ball.  We know between the two they will keep us young.  She has two bottom teeth and loves to copy her brother.  Getting big too fast and will be 1 before we know it!

Dan and I are keeping busy with work and Advocare.  I also have been helping people with meal and workout plans on the side.  Something I feel like was my calling.  Dan has really jumped in on the Advocare side of life and we couldn't be happier with everything Advocare has done for us this year.  We are excited to see where we are by this time next year.  We have some ideas but are keeping mum on those for now :) Other than that we take pride in getting our priorities straight and knowing with out a doubt we have made the right choices/changes for our kids.  I can't thank him enough for his support in my decision to try this out almost two years ago.  Life is good not perfect but really good!
