New Year but Not all New...

Happy 52nd Birthday, Dad!!

WoW, what a busy week we had last week that I'm just now getting to the blog! The proof is in my little man. He has been a sleep all but an hour today! So, to start, clear back on January 29th, we went to watch our friend preach at church. We were supposed to go a week earlier however due to the weather we had to wait! Either way he did a fantastic job and was such a natural up there, we were very proud of him. After church we went out for lunch with them and another couple, here are some photos of the church and the kiddos...

After church we celebrated my sisters birthday at my parents house. Then the weather was so nice last week we were out walking/running every day..well not Friday I guess it was too cold, but every other day...

On Thursday it was Dan's night out so Kypton and I hung out with Grandma. We went to the mall and I got a new shirt to wear out on Friday which I will talk about in a moment. Kypton got some new clothes as well, he hasn't worn them yet, but here is my shirt...

So as for Friday, it was Dan last day at the bank so his boss an co-workers went out to celebrate. Kypton had his first sleep over in Grandma and Grandpa's nursery! He also got a bath in the sink :) Here are some photos my parents sent while we were out...

Saturday we had a snow storm here so we didn't really want to do much we went to get Kypton at my parent's house and hung out for a while..Dan slept (little hangover) he says he's getting old haha. My brother and mom were heading to the mall so I tagged along :) We went home around Kypton's bed time and Dan and I were out soon after we put him in his bed :)

Sunday was the superbowl, and Today is my Dad's birthday so we went and hung out at the rents house and made some delicious snacks. Many were from Pinterest..(looking for photos now :) ) Today, Kypton is catching up on some sleep, Dan started his new job, I'm anxious to see how his day went, I did just get a text saying his training is not in Minnesota like we had thought so Kypton and I will not be going along...it's actually in Baltimore. Sad for us but I'm excited for Dan to go, although most of his time will be spent in meetings I hope he gets to see a little bit of the City! Well that was our week last week and a start to this week.

Some of the Super Bowl food..
Corn muffin w/ little hotdogs

Pizza roll ups
Strawberry Rubarb bars

Buffalo Chicken bites
Chocolate dessert
7 layer cups

pretzel wrapped in bacon

Now for some other updates--

P.I.N.K. Method- Down 2 more pounds this week, although I think that is because of all the extra working out with the walks and running..not because I did well with eating :( Regardless, exactly 10 pounds to go! I loose 5 more then start the 7 day shred to get the final 5 off so hopefully another couple of weeks. The doctor said I should give myself as much time as it took me to put on to get it all off so if I can get it all off by March I will be one happy Momma!!

It's been a while since I have talked about our friend Dave Ramsey and a lot of that come from finding out we were expecting and redoing the house, those were much more exciting to talk about. Well now that the house is done, Kypton is a few months old, and the holidays have come and gone were getting back to business. We have had so many changes these last three months my head spins just thinking about it all. With all those changes comes a new budget and new goals. The budget is set and were looking forward to continuing our journey to total debt freedom! We thought it would be great to start saving for Kypton's 5th birthday which will be 7 days of Disney with all the fun birthday gifts/things they provide but also keeping in mind that we will have one if not 2 other kids by that time. If we stay on track and work hard not only will we have everything including our home paid off by then but we will have more than enough in the vacation fund to do Disney like Disney should be done :) I know some of you are thinking that is over 4 years away, yep it is..Thanks to Dave Ramsey he has yet again reminded us that we live in a "I want it now society," well for my sanity and my kids' future I want them to grow up knowing their parents are financially set and that with hard work you get to live like no one else. If anyone is interested in setting up a budget Dave Ramey style here is a link! Happy saving!

Have a great week everyone!
Love the Buchholz's =)
