I'm sure I mentioned this before but I am going to say it again. I feel like this has been the longest pregnancy because we found out November 17th of last year we were expecting, miscarried at 10 weeks and about 6 weeks later we found out we were expecting again. A crazy 11 months to say the least.
We are excited...Dan a little more anxious this time to get things going. So, if you didn't see my facebook status there was a mixup at the Drs. office so we had to wait an extra day to start our weekly appointments. Which wouldn't be a big deal if 1. We didn't have a two year old that doesn't understand why we checked in and then left right away without being about to play like usual for a good 10 minutes. and 2. My husband didn't have work...sure we can just come in whenever..clearly their statement on their website is false. End rant...again!
So we ended up going on Wednesday...I will say I was a little disappointed in my progress as I have actually felt some contractions this time. Nothing regular but still felt some. Anyway, Kenzlie is head down and were at 1cm so hardly anything but something none the less. I went back to look at Kypton's progress and we were the same at 36 weeks but at our 37 week we were at 2 cm and 70% effaced so there is hope that next week will be better. I told Dan let the walking begin. He is super anxious this time around because he is worried he will be at work and Kypton and I will be at home. The Dr. did say I could still drive if my water broke and I wasn't in crazy pain. We asked about how they determine when to do an induction since we don't have a medical reason. She said as long as my cervix has softened and I'm dilated to a 3 they could do it. Which is what we did with Kypton, however, it was only a day before my due date. As much as I am ready to have her here I know the longer she is in there the better. The Dr. said if we wait it out more than likely I will go on my own, my only request is NOT to go past my due date at all. I guess all we can do now is wait and see when the Princess will decide to make her entrance!
I think Kypton is starting to get that we are getting a baby...maybe not to the understanding of an adult but he knows where Kenzlie is (mommy's tummy) and he knows where her room is, and he still likes to go in there all the time. We use to keep the door closed when we were still working on it and things were just sitting out, now that clothes are put away and it's pretty much done other than lighting, curtain for the closet and the art for above her bed. I have the art done, however, somehow we managed to lose the two hammers we had so I had to go find one. Today, after I got out of the shower I noticed he had emptied out the hospital bags I have packed in Kenzlie's room. He put all the toiletries in the drawer in the bathroom, I told him I needed all that when I go to the hospital when it's time to meet Kenzlie. His only response was, "no."
We're trying to get all the spoiling in or I am at least before we bring home baby #2! We went to the pumpkin patch last weekend (I haven't downloaded the photos yet so they will have to be posted when I do the next update) we got a new train set, new colors and coloring book, and were getting in lost of cuddles as well. Here are just a few photos I have for now!
Enjoy!
The 1st time putting together the train set...we had to stop to eat some of our happy meal!
Taking a break from his train to color...
"Did you see that, Mom?"
Finally found the right color of purple rugs!
We hope everyone is doing great!
Love the Buchholz's
