2 Months and Many Changes...

Kypton is
two months old!

I can't believe our little boy is growing and changing so much everyday! From smiling and holding his head up to "talking" more everyday! It's so amazing to be home and see all the changes. I hope I never lose the excitement of watching everything he does. He was two months on Thursday which only means a check up and some shots at the doctor Thankfully Dan was able to go with me because I couldn't watch when they did the shots, I sat so I couldn't see and plugged my ears not because of his cry but because I don't like the "click" when they do the shots.. I know thats sad but it's true. Dan got to hold him down and be the bad guy and I got to comfort him, this role will be reversed a many times I know! After the doctor he was a super sleepy baby so I let him sleep while I got alot of work done for my Dad. He was so tired we didn't get our last feeding in for the night and he slept from 6:30pm until 5:30am. Here are some of the 2 month photos I took on Thursday before he fell back to sleep after I changed his diaper--

Chill'n in my chair..

Oh, I'm just hangn' out..

really mom? I think that's enough photos..

11.9 lbs 23" long

my hair is still very light and I still have my baby blues
I love to smile when mom and dad come to get me up in the morning, I now rub my eyes when I'm tired, and I'm really good at tummy/mat time!

Some other great happenings--we finally got word on Dan's new job that everything is a go and he starts in February!! We are both excited for this new venture. He will be working as a Jr. HMC under his brother and his brother's partner for a section of Iowa Reality that is an affiliate of Wells Fargo if I'm understanding correctly. It will be new for both of us with the understanding that he will probably work more hours. But we have a lot of goals and dreams for our family so in the end everything we do to reach those goals will be worth it! Dan and I went to celebrate last night and Kypton stayed with grandma and grandpa! We went to dinner (check out my delicious Bomb Pop martini) then had to make a pit stop for a new bed!

Sitting in my great, great, great grandma's wooden cradle..

This bed will be delivered on Tuesday! I have always wanted a sleigh bed!!

To make a long story short, about two weeks after having Kypton we were getting into bed and heard a loud clunk, well I looked under the bed and didn't see anything, well I wanted to get something out of one of the bins that was under the bed yesterday afternoon and well to my surprise were basically sleeping on the plastic bins..The bar that goes through the middle of the bed broke. Ikea bed, we had a great run and you will always be remembered. It is nice to know we are getting a better quality bed now though! As soon as the room is up and ready I'll have some photos, I've also had people ask about our bathroom which has been finished since November so I will just plan on doing a before and after post of the whole house next week after the bedroom is done because we have had so many changes and well it will be nice to document them!

I also said I would keep you posted on my P.I.N.K. method! Things are going awesome, since last Thursday I have lost 6 pounds!! Only 10 to go!! The food we make is really good and you don't have to eat everything they have in the book you can add your own food, I do the workout DVDs which you should follow, plus I will add running in once it gets nice out again, but at least I'm getting some good cardio and toning in before swimsuit season! I'm praying the scale keeps going south, I did get into and was able to zip a pair of jeans I couldn't even get on last week, so there is progress!

Tomorrow we are going to watch one of our good friends preach at Church. He was in our wedding and we went to Central together. He did religious studies at Central, however, had a change of heart after graduation and pursued other careers. This past month they informed us he was going to start preaching again and we couldn't be more excited for him and his family! We are going to go show our support and have some lunch tomorrow, and we can't wait!

Hope you are all having a great weekend and aren't getting to bad of weather wherever you may be located!

Love from the Buchholz's!
