Starting 2012...

Well it's January 2nd, 2012 and I am still coming up with my Bucket List for the year. I think I am going to break it into three sections, Family, Fun, and Self-Improvement...we shall see how that goes. Hopefully everyone had a safe and fun New Years Eve! We rang in the New Year by having some friends over, Dan and Matt grilling out (yes, that's right they grilled on the last day of December 2011) Leng and I chatting about babies and the future, playing Catch Phrase and watching the Dick Clark's 40th Anniversary New Years Eve. It was a nice calm night. Kypton slept most of the night as we just added another half ounce to his feeding, but I got him up for a little bit to at least put his "tux" on!

Kypton in his "tux"

This is where I was when the clock struck midnight for 2012!

Sunday, I got to sleep in while Dan got up for the 8:00 feeding, it felt good to sleep in but I was ready to get my workout in and go to my Uncles for the New Years Beans we have to eat for good luck. Trust me I always eat them and I would say I have had some pretty good luck! (Dan, Marriage, House, Baby, Health, Family..) We spent the afternoon over there with my extended family, which was a great time just chatting and relaxing, of course great food! Sunday night we just relaxed and watched some TV. The New Year was started on the right foot with friends and family. I'm excited to see what 2012 will bring, as of right now I know it's for sure bringing more weddings and babies...I'm very excited for both! :)

Heres to my 2012 Bucket List:
Family-
1. spend more quality time with family
2. take a family vacation
3. Take one day at a time
4. Capture more moments
5. Have more date nights

Self-Improvement-
1. Exercise daily even if it's just going for a walk
2. Take an hour out of the day for "me" time
3. spend more time with the Lord daily
4. Read at least 1 book a month
5. Unplug from the world once a week

Fun-
1. Start training for a 1/2 marathon
2. Try something new from Pinterest every week
3. Find a wine I love...other than the Miscato I like...
4. Blog more often
5. Be more spontaneous
6. Hangout/talk to my girlfriends more often

This year I'm not going to focus on things that I'm not the greatest at. I am going to focus on things I really enjoy but tend to put the least amount of time into because well let's face it other things like working, and money become more important, that the things we enjoy typically get put on the back burner. Well, not this year, this is the year of self love, enjoying where we are in life, and being truly happy with ourselves. I hope to look back on the year of 2012 to say that we really did learn to love life, and take every day as a gift from above, and I hope to say, "Dam, that was a great ride!" Cheers to a new attitude and outlook on this year!

Love the Buchholz's
